Web 2.0 is the next generation of the internet that supports interactive reading, writing and sharing with others with multimedia: podcasting, blogging, wiki, collaboration, video, digital storytelling and more. There's more, but interactive capabilities is what is most exciting.
Blog Online Journal in reverse chronological order about a specific subject or idea with online comments and dialogue.
Collaboration Two or more people or groups working together to complete a project, document or product.
Data_Collection Students create and use online surveys to collect data of interest to them using the Survey Monkey web site.
Digital_Storytelling students create stories about what they are learning, and teachers create subject lessons to enhance class presentations
Google_Earth enhance subject by taking them to the place of action in literature, art, science, math
Podcast an audio file recorded to teach a lesson, or present some information such as recording a lecture and post it online to your wiki or blog
Problem Based Learning Students solve a real world problem, teaching them team work, higher level thinking skills
Scavenger Hunt searching and finding information on the internet to answer questions
Virtual_Field_Trips use specific sites on the internet to learn all about a certain topic or place
WebQuests teach higher thinking skills by providing a challenge to students that can be solved within a webquest using the internet
